Looking to make some extra cash and keep your closet updated with fresh new items? Consign your designer, independent, and everyday label apparel, handbags, shoes, and accessories with us! You’ll earn cash or store credit to shop for something new—and together, we’ll help the planet by giving your items a second life.
How It Works:
Drop off your consignment items any day of the week! Within a few days, we’ll email you a list of the items that we’ve accepted. You can arrange to pick up unaccepted items or choose to have us donate them on your behalf. We donate to several local shelters & thrift stores in Live Oak & Valdosta areas.
Appointments are helpful for our staff, we can arrange pick-up or drop-off times to fit a variety of schedules. We’re excited to help you make room in your closet and find fresh new pieces to love!
How to consign:
Review & submit our Consignment Agreement below. Before bringing in your items, please ensure they meet our acceptable quality guidelines. This includes items that are in very good to excellent condition, clean, and free of any damages or stains. Please do not leave items with pet hair, smoke smells, or makeup and/or deodorant stains visible. These items will be rejected.
Schedule your consignment drop-off. This helps us to plan & prepare for our day. You can schedule your drop-off by emailing us at southernswapconsignment@gmail.com or via phone or text at 352-451-8859. Please limit calls and texts to Monday-Friday business hours of 8AM- 6PM. We are happy to respond to emails at our convenience after hours.
When you arrive for your appointment, please make sure all items are folded and brought in a bag you don't want back. Paper or plastic bags work great. No hangers, please! We are not responsible for checking pockets, bags, wallets, etc. Please ensure all items have been thoroughly gone through prior to drop off.
You will receive an email within a few days of your drop-off with the items we've selected. We typically select items based on their quality, style, and current demand. You will then have the option to donate any unaccepted items or arrange a time to pick them up. Typically, you will have 7 business days in which you can arrange to pick up your items before they are donated. Weekends and holidays do not count towards this timeframe.
Once we've accepted your items, you will receive a pricing email within a week. You can request to check your balance at any time.
Watch your consignment turn into cash to use in-store for a 10% boost, or cash out with cash app, PayPal, or a check. Please allow 24-48 hours processing time.

Consignment period
Items are consigned for a period of approximately 120 days. During the period, a 20% monthly price reductions occur. At the end of the consignment period, or if at any point we have item(s) to give back to you, we'll email you to arrange a pickup. It is your responsibility to make sure your items are picked up. We must be notified in writing if someone else will pick up items on your behalf.
Pricing & Commission
Prices are set by Southern Swap Consignment unless otherwise requested. Payouts are based on the percentage scale below:
Final Sale of Item
Less than $50 - Consignor Percentage: 45%
$50 and above - Consignor Percentage: 50%
Special circumstances and higher percentages may be agreed upon on a case-by-case basis if the item is very valuable, please contact us for special concerns.
Remember, if you choose to earn in-store credit, your commission will have a 10% greater value!
How & When Will I Get Paid:
Shop online (select Store Credit at checkout, and an updated invoice will be sent out if there is a balance due.)
Request a Payout via PayPal, cash app or Paper Check ($3 fee per payout)
*Store Credit can be used immediately after something sells and is worth 10% more than PayPal/Cash App/Check payout. Please allow a minimum of 24-48 hours to receive a payout and updated account email.
What we're looking for:
At Southern Swap Consignment, we carefully consider several factors when accepting items for consignment and pricing them. We focus on the style, brand, seasonality, & condition of the items to ensure they meet our standards and appeal to our customers. Additionally, we take into account our clientele and our inventory needs. If you don't see a certain style, brand, or size please ask and we will do our best to fit your needs!
STYLE:
We look for items that are popular current trends from within the last 3-4 years along with select vintage. What's current may be a matter of cut and fabric or in some cases, brand. Style is often more important than brand; just because you have a high-end designer item doesn't mean it's something that sells well for us at this time. We want to appeal to every budget and style.
BRAND:
While brand names do not particularly matter, we buy based off of what we feel will sell best at this current time. Some more expensive brands may not sell as fast around small town areas.
SEASON AND INVENTORY:
We accept items seasonally and are looking for clothing purchased new within the last two to three years as well as select vintage.
CONDITION:
Please select the very best of what you have.
We ask that items are in like-new condition, freshly laundered, and free of rips and tears, stains, makeup, deodorant, pet hair, and other signs of wear.

Consignment Agreement
We are so happy to have you join our consignment boutique. By electronically signing this agreement and/or by delivering items for consignment with us you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of this agreement.
Southern Swap Consignment reserves the right to make changes to the Terms and Conditions at any time at our sole discretion. It is your responsibility to review the Terms and Conditions posted on our website. Each time that you consign items with us, you accept the agreement as modified.
A. Pricing. Southern Swap Consignment makes the final selection regarding all items placed on consignment. Anything that is not accepted needs to be arranged to be picked up within 7 days or will be donated at our discretion. Southern Swap Consignment sets prices on all consigned items based on the current resale market. You will receive an email with the pricing for your accepted items and we are happy to work with you on any changes you would like to make. Monthly markdowns of 20% apply to each item that stays past 30 days.
B. Consignment Period and Donation Policy. All items are consigned for approximately 120 days. Items will not be returned to the Consignor without a $3 per item fee before day 60 of the 120 days have passed. At the end of the consignment period, the Consignor will be notified via email of any remaining items and given the opportunity, 7 business days, to make arrangements to reclaim those items. Unsold items not picked up become the sole property of Southern Swap Consignment to donate or use at our discretion. Payout to the Consignor can be issued by request at any time via check, Cash App, or Paypal. A $3 processing fee per payout will be applied. Payouts can be requested via email, Southern Swap Consignment's website, text, or email request. The consignor can check their balance anytime by text or email.

Southern Swap Consignment's percentage includes all fees associated with eBay, Paypal, and/or card processing fees. Southern Swap Consignment will pay the Consignor the net proceeds received and collected from the sale of the property after receiving payment from the buyer and deducting its commissions as well as taxes.
C. Condition of Items: The consignor can bring in any amount of items to consign at any time. Items should be clean and free of any stains, non-manufactured holes, or smells. Any item with dry cleaning or repairs needed will be deducted from the consignor’s account. If an item needs to be returned, an email and/or text message will be sent and the consignor needs to make arrangements to pick it up within 7 business days or it will be donated.
E. Returns: Southern Swap Consignment does not accept returns of items sold from customers who are unsatisfied with their purchase for any reason.
F. Limitation of Liability: Southern Swap Consignment will take diligent care of the consigned pieces to the best of its ability. Southern Swap Consignment does not cover losses to consigned property for theft or damages. This includes any damage caused by a customer, fire, flood, earthquakes, stains, tears, missing pieces, damage caused during shipping, or any other damage with no exclusions of man-made or natural damages to consigned items.
G. Inactive Account: After (6) consecutive months of inactivity on the Consignor's account, the Consignor will forfeit any unclaimed Accrued Consignor Balance, and Southern Swap Consignment will be under no obligation to issue payment. We will make all attempts to contact you via email, text, and phone calls before the 6-month mark. It is solely your responsibility to keep all contact information updated and let us know if changes occur as soon as possible!
H. Legal Right to Consigned Items and Authenticity: The consignor guarantees that all items consigned to Southern Swap Consignment for sale are lawfully and entirely owned by the Consignor or that they are acting on behalf of a person(s) who has given them the authority to sell such items on their behalf. The Consignor guarantees to indemnify Southern Swap Consignment for any damages, penalties, fines, fees, or judgments for any issue arising due to the rights of the lawful owner of the merchandise being placed on consignment. Only original, authentic designer items are accepted by Southern Swap Consignment for consignment. By submitting items for consignment, the Consignor states that the items are authentic designer items and not counterfeit or “knockoffs”. All disputes pertaining to this Agreement will be resolved through Arbitration in Live Oak, FL according to American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) rules. The prevailing party will be entitled to attorney fees and costs of arbitration.
This Agreement replaces all prior consignment agreements or verbal discussions between Consignor and Southern Swap Consignment in their entirety.

Why should I consider consigning my items?
Consigning clothing, shoes, and accessories is a great way to clean out your closet and earn extra cash. When you consign online, you are reaching a broader audience than posting on your Facebook alone and people can shop anytime and anywhere.
How will I be paid?
We offer a broad variety of payment options from cash payout to Zelle, Cash App, Pay Pal or check. Requests must be made via email or text with your customer number and the amount that you want to cash out. Payment will be made within 2 business days of the initial request not including weekends or holidays.
How much will I make?
How much you make depends on several factors. Brand names like Michael Kors or Loft will sell higher than Shein brands of course, and other factors will also play a role such as how worn the item is, if there are any rips, stains or missing buttons and zippers. We will pay you 45% for up to $500 payout, and 55% over $500 payout. Contact us if you have specialty items such as expensive bags, glasses or dresses and we can work out an individualized starting price and payout in order to make you happy.
What if I don't agree with the pricing?
We aim to price items fairly and want you to feel good about it! If you have specific pricing preferences, please leave a note with your drop-off. If you have concerns after seeing the prices, just reach out within 24 hours. If we can’t agree on pricing, you’re welcome to schedule a pickup.

Do you offer local pick up?
Yes! We do offer local pickup. We have two locations to serve you. Our office is at 315 N. St. Augustine Rd in Valdosta, GA 31601 Monday-Friday 8-5. We can also meet in town in Live Oak, FL on certain weekends or after business hours during the week. Holidays and weather may change these hours, please inquire before showing up that your items are ready. All pickups must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance in order to have your items ready.
What is your return/exchange policy?
We currently do not accept refunds or exchanges. We take the time to thoroughly take photos and measurements of each item. Please review your purchases carefully prior to buying.
